Reef Keepers in Albuquerque?

Moonpower,

If you are able to host this Wed. (possibly just me) let me know. Short notice but, ehh. I am not giving up, we are going to get a group going. :D

BTW: Who should I ask for when I call? I may have some stuff for you (75 gallon stand, sumps, small skimmers, lights, etc...)

Eric, question if you are up. (hate to call if you are asleep.) My auto topoff failed today and my salanity is really low. I just used the last of my salt but its still below the comfort zone. Are you up? if so, do you have any salt laying around? :(

as for place, I am netural. either one one is good for me. Do either of you have a reason that you need to be home on Wed? if so, that will decide where. :D

I already told some people it would be here, if that is ok moonpower?

Asfullax, I'm up now........still need it? I have instant ocean.

I was able to get the SG to 1.022, and everything is holding ok. I am going to drip the tank up to 1.026 over the next few days. So far, it looks like we only lost a few snails and POSSIBLY our pulsing singulara <SP> He is looking really bleached BUT he is extended, so I have been spot feeding him. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Your place it is! 6pm, I will be there. 100% sure!

Just to remind everybody, If you are able to donate say $5 - $10 to get the club registry taken care of, that will be cool. Its not required, but if we can get registered, we can get our own spot on here, and people can actually find us. :D

Oh Yeah, Did you want me to bring anything?

that is fine with me.
witchdr I sent pm for directions.
besides money, what else can I bring? It's too early for my frags. I have lots of rock that use to be live.
I'm open to buy or trade frags!!!! hard or soft
also on wish list is tang, six line wrassp, copperband ect. pm me with offers

Thanks moonpower!!! Hopefully I won't need too, but thats good to know. I almost sent you a message too.

I am usually up until midnight myself, and I silence my phone if I am sleeping so its rare that somebody could call and wake me. :D

I just stocked my system a few months ago, so I won't have any frags for a while, but I am thinking of getting an order going with some of the online "rare / good" frag places. Possibly we could start an ordering schedule for frags / fish / dry goods (I really need to order some bulk calcium) etc...

We'll see you all tomorrow. Bring frags if you have 'em and whatever else you need to get rid of in case anyone is interested. We'll probably just order a couple of pizzas and hang out and talk tanks. If you get lost or need directions call me. My number is above.

Some organizer I am.

I send out a few reminders, but I put June 13th instead of June 14th.

It is in fact tomorrow, wed. June 14th at 6pm.

Sorry about that guys and gals. I take responsibility for this one. :(

just wanted to say it was a great meeting.. good food , good meeting new friends and good business. looking forward to the next one.

Thanks Eric and Jen for hosting

Eric usually does all our surfing on Reef Central but since I needed to keep in touch with all of you I'm now Mrs_Witchdoctor. Feels like getting married all over again :)..... Here goes my first post.

First and foremost Eric and I had a great time at Wednesdays meeting. Having so many of you and such a perfect mix of people is pretty cool. We are really looking forward to the next meeting. The group talked about a Friday this time shooting for July 14th I think. Please post your dates so we can firm that up and let dead beat reef know; he's offered to host in July. The 14th or the 21st are both good for us.

I'm going to work on some pages for the web this week if you have a couple pictures of your tanks please get them to me so I can feature them. I think most of you have my email; if not PM me and I'll send it to you.

I haven't had any other suggestions for a club name so here are the ones brought up at the meeting.
Enchanted Reef Club - Sandia Reef Club - EFRAGS and I'd like to throw my two cents in something along the lines of Aquariums of New Mexico, Aquariums Across New Mexico, New Mexico Saltwater Keepers. I'd really like to include ALL of New Mexico.

Business notes, we talked quite a bit about membership structure, benefits of membership, dues, and experiences with other clubs in the country. A lot was said (to lengthy to post on here) I didn't feel that anything was decided for sure as far as business goes but the conversation was great; there were so many good ideas and thoughts put out there for consideration I don't think there will be any problem getting some guidelines in place to make this among the best clubs to belong to in New Mexico.

Don't forget to get me pics for the web and post your dates for the next meeting.

If you did not make it to the last meeting and wish to contribute to the initial dues for MASNA please bring your contribution to the next meeting. It's much appreciated.

Thanks again to all who came to Wednesdays meeting! Looking forward to the next.

Thanks to all, I had a blast and really look forward to seeing us grow! :D

I have created the "Temporary" stage site for the website, once we decide / find a name, I will register it and let everyone know.

The temp site is:
http://nmreefclub.teamstudies.net

Currently there is nothing there, but expect changes soon.

As for the name, I agree that I want to make sure it is inviting to all of NM and pretty much anybody running a salt tank, yes... Even FO. :D

Mrs_Witchdoctor, I have PM'd you with the website info. let me know if you do not get it.

At the very least, we will get the schedule, blog, agenda, and pictures section going this month. I am also going to dab with a few flyer designs to place at the various LFS around here as well as start talking with vendors and LFS owners to work on deals.'

I will post more as I get more info.

thanks again to everybody!
Alex

Hey Everyone --

I'm going to be out of town on the 14th. So if meeting on the 21st is an option I could definately support getting together on that evening.

I've been thinking quite a bit about the name since last Wed. I noticed that Alex had "nmreefclub" in the hyperlink. I think that's a perfectly fine name. I had also thought of the "New Mexico Marine Aquarium Group/Club/Society/etc (choose whichever you wish)" or "New Mexico Marine & Reef Club".

I'm working on getting pictures to Mrs_W. Any requests for maximum file or picture size? I don't want to crash your email. I've also got a short video of my clowns I could try to compress if you'd like to include things like that on the site as well ...
