Hi Gang,

Notes from Friday night's meeting!

- We have a new contact to continue working on getting our own thread on RC. Eric sent a contact email.
- Business items were settled such as using our home address and phone for official contact info for the club so we don't have to pay for a PO Box etc...
- I will be the Director of Operations and continue supporting the club both on the web and behind the sceens with Alex as the backup Director of Ops in my abscence.
- We will place a group order with reeftopia.com. The following items are on the list if you have something to add let us know.
peppermint shrimp, hermits, naussarias, margaritas, seriths, mexican turbos. I believe Colleen looked it up and if we order more than $120 we will have free shipping and over $200 we will get a 10% discount. I think it would be best to get this done by the end of the month early next month possibly. Take a look at reeftopia.com and let me know via email or pm if you want to get in on this order. Once we have a total order I'll post here and after all funds are recieved we'll get it in.
- Eric and I will host the next meeting at our house to be held on October 20th probably around 6pm. If you need directions pm one of us.

I'm going to continue working on paperwork and the web this week I'll post updates on here when I have them. Alex let me know if I need to avoid uploading for a few days while you complete the transfer. I still have some work to do so I'm not in a big big rush. Next month I'll have membership cards for everyone who's paid and turned in the application form.
Eric and I also want to thank everyone for being who you are! :) We have a really great group here and we couldn't be happier about the progress we have made over the last several months. Here's to many new adventures!

I don't know if anyone else from Alamogordo (or even Las Cruces) has chimed in here yet. You just may be the first.

My parents are down in Alamogordo so we go down to visit a few times each year. Maybe sometime I'm down there I could check out your 250g tank. Is there a LFS is town that you go to, or do you drive over to Las Cruces?
 
No LFS around but petco(cruces)and the coral reef (el paso).I get most of my stuff from online.I love to show off the tank Its hard to stock it because of the size and the location I'm at.

There are a few more guys down here with tanks but nobodys really in to the reef side.Its me and one other guy that do corals that would like to frag and trade,but we both have the same stuff.So if you guy are ever come this way or the other my be we can help each other out.

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that we now have flyers up at the Clarks on Lomas and PetCo. Apparently one of the guys at Clarks does a sps newsletter... they will put our info in and keep an eye out for our forum here on RC.

At the East PetCo Jay and I ran into a manager who keeps FO. He asked if he could copy the flyer and put it up in several spots.

awesome Colleen & Jason! You guys have been busy! :) Just a quick note today; I've only recieved one persons request for ordering in a group order from Reeftopia..... Please post up if you are interested otherwise I'll have that person go ahead so we aren't holding them up. If you are waiting on finances let me know I think we can wait if we know you want in just can't do it this second.

I saw he posted on reefcentral a few days ago, so I figured he needed a break from us. lol :D

I am waiting on finances but should be ready in a few days for the order. I will get my list ready tonight or tomorrow.

I'm interested in getting a couple peppermint shrimp, half a dozen ceriths, half a dozen nassarious, and a handful of blue leg hermits. I could also go for an emerald crab.

Since my tank is small, I'd definitely need to go in with people, since most of the stuff comes by the dozen.
 
ok thanks for both posts Alex and Roy... I'm keeping a list of things to order for each person. I'll post again early next week for a last call on orders - money due at that time! I'll pm each person with instructions for paypal and the amount it will cost that person once I figure the group discount.
 
Ok, here is my order:

12 Cerith Snails {the good kind} and
2 Emerald Crabs.

(2) 6 Peppermint Shrimp - $24.00

So my total "List" price comes out to: $163.00

Hey Looks like I missed out at Sept. meeting. For me a
live order wont work as both of my tanks are goofed.
Water chem. is way off. All sps bleached white zos lost
all green. Mass water changes 10 gal. every other day.
To bring things back, I hope? I used a new product for
alk. maint. Did not work out so good. My fault. I dont
know if its better to move some of the sps out to a
different tank or tough it out here? It might be safer away
from 30 + years exp. dbr.
 
DBR - let us know if there is anything we can do to help...... We have a small tank that can be used for quarantine to save your sps if you want to try it. I'll check with Eric but I think it would need an air pump. We're here to help!!! :) J
