In this months article you stated " find some way to increase nitrogenous nutrient utilization by bacteria, thus allowing the excess nitrogen to leave the system as a gas".
Except for occasional bacterial "blooms" that can occur with a death or overfeeding. I assume that there is more or less a relatively constant population of bacteria in a tank that is at a point of equillibrium..
Is it possible to have a given quantity of bacteria increase their utilizaton of nutrients?. If it is possible, how could it be accomplished?
I think i know the answer but then again, I've been wrong before.
