Reef Lighting Ideas

Well I'm slowly putting my 210 together and would like some ideas on lighting. My current setup sports a combination of t5's and leds (t5 being 48"). I've seen a nice 60" 8 bulb t5 for a good price but I know that would come with more heat and a high bulb change expense. I've also looked into the 60" Malibu s led which looks nice and has all the feature of the more expensive lights with a large footprint for an led. I won't say money is not object because I am also saving for a new place (I know polar opposites, saving while trying to upgrade reef tanks of all things). So any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dj, i think you saw my 210 with reef breeder led. I recently got a 6 bulb t5 60" setup that I am going to add two bulbs to start with in combination with my led. Startg with kz fiji purple to start off with. I get growth but looking to improved purple and red coloration.

Yeah, I saw your setup, I was leaning towards something similar led with t5, I see Coralvue has a 60" 8 bulb fixture I have to email them to get the size of it and I may ddeconstruct it and put leds in the middle, kinda all over the place at the moment

DIY...T5/LED combo or even add a couple MH to the T5/LED mix. You could build it exactly how you want and get the advantages of all the lighting types.
