Reef Nutrition group buy?

Hey CJ and Richard, now that you've had your hands on these feeds for a bit, what do you think? How do you compare to your other feeds etc?

well honestly i dont know i followed the directions to the letter and my leather has the polyps actually retracted so im experimenting see if thats the reason by stopping feeding with that for a few days. ive ran every test i have and its all within normal parameters if not perfect but the hair algae has done taken over now which is not cool (my own fault i overfeed anyways and now adding that probably didnt help lol). the hammer and my zoas seem to love it by far they are darkening and really really pretty. it may just be a fluke with the leather but i do love the results with my zoas and hammer alone.

bunch of snails and hermits woke up this morning and omg it doubled dangit gonna make a run to the LFS today i guess and get some gfo

I don't know much about leather physiology, but when they grab on to food, don't they retract and pull it in? That could have been the response you were seeing. My duncans do that.

I dose 4 different feeds at about 1 tsp for 55gal (+sump).

I also have some hair algae but had it before...tank is still settling from setting up lol.
GFO will take care of phosphates but not nitrates if that is an issue. What sort of water changes are you doing?

since the bloom ive upped it from 10 gallons a week to 15 gallons. nitrates at 0 phos at 0 ran outta GFO couple days ago so i gotta get some more thinking of trying those bio pellets see if they work as people have claimed. rather do that instead of vodka dose. also thinking of getting a different skimmer my current one is only rated for a 75 and water volume is at 120 or so. i dont mind the hair algae or any algae long as it is kept in check and not spreading. unfortuantly this is spreading so i gotta look at different things to keep it in check. rather use some natural fish or invert to do so but ive cut back on feeding and it seems to have slowed down the growth but it is still thriving so i suspect skimmer needs upgrade and gonna try those bio pellets for sure

well update on the leather i find out that it 'sheds' to promote new growth. so this morning i see new bigger pinkish branches and the polyps are coming out as well so im assuming that the new food is helping thats a plus aint it. lol
