Reef octo skimmer question

I'm in the process of downsizing from an 80 gallon to a 50 or 60 gallon cube. My question is, should I keep my reef octopus diablo xs160 or sell it and purchase a smaller skimmer? I don't plan on over stocking at all, I'll transfer two clowns, 3 pajama cardinals and 2 chromis. I plan of stocking it with sps and Lps corals. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I have that skimmer and spoke with Jeremy from ReefOctopus about it prior to my purchase. I run a 75G tank, and my sump holds 18G of water when running. Jeremy said that my tank is on the low side for the skimmer, and that I should stock the tank heavy to maintain good skimmer performance.

Would your cube have a sump? If the sump held around 20g of water, I would think the skimmer would be fine, its pretty adjustable.

To maintain good performance with mine, I ignore the Max Water line marking...I keep my level about 1" above that. If you don't get good results with the cube, you can add another small fish or two, or just turn the gate valve to raise the level to where you need it
