So I ordered the above mentioned skimmer from Dr. F&S and was told it was on backorder until Feb 5th. Well today I get an email from them saying the manufacturer has delayed it again and is not to arrive until March 15th.
Now I am beginning to get a bit upset cause everytime I want to set my tank up I have a delay, be it my fault or something else.
I dont know if I should cancel my order and get something else or what?
My tank is a 75 gallon with a Pro Flex model 2 sump and if I were to cancel my order and purchase something else what would be best.
I liked the price I was getting for the XP1000 being that the price has gone up $75 but now Im back to square one.

Any suggestions??
 
look for a used one on Ebay or even here. I have never bought a new one, only used and have had GREAT success and saved a ton of money.
 
if you must get a Reef Octopus get the one suggested (NWB110), the space saver design takes away contact time and overall will never be the same as an externally mounted powerhead. Will it make foam and produce skimmate, yes....but given the space, you could be so much more efficient.
 
I had a SRO XP1000SSS on a 90g. I think it did a great job!
They are very good skimmers.
If the tank is not set up, and if the price is locked then just wait for it.
I think it will rock on a 75g!!!
