I am not at all a spokesman for Seachem products, but I had purchased their Reef Pack Fundamentals 1 (which includes something called Reef Plus).
In the past I was using something called Reef Fusion 2-part. This is basically the same thing, but included is Reef Plus. This contains some trace minerals, vitamins, and amino acids. Since using this, ALL my corals have never looked better.
I am pretty good with my water parameters, using RODI water mixed with Red Sea Salt. I do the the standard 10% weekly water changes.
Anyway, the only variable is using Reef Plus and the polyp extension has been great on everything -- Devil's Leather, Mushrooms, Duncans, Hammers, etc.
Even my blue Triadhna Clam is showing more "blues".
I remember seeing a BRS video where Ryan mentioned dosing a product (can't remember the name) that contained vitamins/amino acids. I never really thought much about it bc people only talk mostly about other big factors (flow, lighting , 2-part). There is little mention about vitamins/amino acids, but my anecdotal experience has shown that these are needed as well for optimal coral growth/color. Just IMO.
For me at least, I have to give this simple, inexpensive product 2 thumbs up.
