Hey Guys,
Just wanted to see who's got it and what it looks like..
Me.. I got nuthin'... just looking for some avengers acro porn..
Haven't heard about this coral in a while..

I think everyone wants to see a Reef Raft Avenger colony. I have followed leads to finding a for sale frag but most seem too unclear if they really came from either Reef Raft Canada or USA. The original pictures were incredible. An awesome coral for sure.

I haven't heard of any in Canada--but that just means I haven't heard of any. There are constant rumors of some floating around the USA. Hope this post brings out some pretty pictures.

Mine looks like a tricolor. Very underwhelming. If I screw with camera white balance it starts to look similar to original pics lol.

Let's see it anyways. Just to see it..
Heck, half the 'famous' corals don't look anything like their 'promo' pics..

Well, Mark, I figured if anybody had one hiding up their wet sleeve it would be you!
Too bad you haven't located one yet.

IMHO, their photographer has exceptional skills. Combined with their lighting scheme, all of their pictures look amazing.

In regards to their Avengers, I believe its the same as the Vivid Rainbow.

These are not my pictures. These were found online/google search.

I strongly believe with the exact lighting scheme as RR and an expert in photography; the Vivid above will look like RR Avenger.

Not trying to bring on an argument. Just my $0.02 and probably unsolicited.

Mines not worth posting. There's been a couple of times it started to color but nowhere near the original pic. I could never get that bright base color. It's also been through many tank troubles so I guess I never really gave it a good opportunity. I got mine from someone on the other site that supposedly got it from SC way back. A couple of sps heavy weights said it should be legit. I gave a piece away to a local to try and color it but haven't heard back lol.

I saw the mother colony in person with deep purple and reed colors ..he keep under 250w MH and 2 blue T5 .

I don't know others, but I grade RR as photograph art more than SPS professional, but somehow I still appreciate RR dig into SPS's potential, give us a great dream to shoot for.

Some Taiwan LFS, use a fancy LED flashlight and shoot directly on their Indonesia coral frags and try to convince me that is same species of a RR. Under that kind of light, yes, they do look like RR coral.

I agree 100% but some of their corals are spectacular. And as Andrew showed, under normal lighting or photo editing the corals will still look very nice. I have noticed a lot of the collectors of RR stuff have learned to use the same technique to capture pictures of their frags and colonies.

I also don't think the avengers photo above looks like the same piece as the vrd. Maybe even a different species. Similar though, someone with good photograph skills could make a frag look like a avenger potentially :)

What happened to your pic?

I had a different cropped picture and when I downloaded it to photobucket instead of being a new picture it overwrote my other. Bottomline, I think I fixed it and there is now a picture. At least on my computer, the picture shows up.

Whoa!! Now I see!!
Mine eyes have been awakened!!
It's a nice coral- if it ever really looks like this.. in person.

Nice. Ok you got me excited again. Mine had the tips and polyps but could never get that bright base color. Going to move mine this weekend!

Mine before half of it died.....only pic I have I told you it looked like crap!

It's coming back now. I have it in lower light going to frag a piece and blast it. Wish me luck....
