Go to Fins of Franklin and ask to see Michael he has a nice scene on his left arm. He even drew the scene out himself from what he tells me. Either way its a nice tat.
just got my first tat last Sat. It's a cross with roses on the inside of my left forearm. No reef tats planned, but I'm planning a Koi sleeve on my right arm. the plan is to work a bengal tiger on the front of my left forearm and add more vines/flowers or whatever to try and work it in with the cross. I haven't had a chance to talk with the artist though.
I will have more shading on the cross and the roses and vines colored Jul. 10th. and thats when we plan to get to work to finish out the left forearm. I was really pleased how it turned out. All we did was pick out a cross and I said I wanted some roses added to it and he drew this up. More than I expected...

I got it done at Music City Tattoo. There is 2 artist there, Mike and Laura. Mike did this one. You can check their site out, musiccitytattoo.com I actually had this done Sat. 14th and was hopin' to get it colored this Sat. since it's 2 weeks and it's pretty much healed, but they both are booked up. I have an appointment to get it colored Jul. 10th. I dont mind waiting.
I might do a snake theme sleeve on my right arm since I'm into snakes so much. I think some colored cornsnakes would be sweet. maybe throw a tarantula in their somewhere.

Those maroons and anemone are lookin' nice.
I got some color added yesterday to my tat.
Still have to get the cross shaded and the artist said somethin' else about addin' some more color for detail when I go back. I really like how it turned out. I know, not reef related but I already posted in this thread.

The tattoos are pretty awesome guys.
I've never had a tattoo because I never figured out anything I would want permanently on my body. I think I have finally settled on something that I would want, but I'm still not convinced I'm not too chicken to do it (chicken as in being worried about regretting it, not as in afraid of the pain).
It's not reef related, but I'm thinking a tattoo of the PSU lion shrine would be cool. I would probably just take the lion itself from the logo below. I'm not sure how the outline in blue would work if I lifted that off of the shield though. A blue outline of Pennsylvania behind it might look cool (and would be about the right shape to fit behind it). There's also a PSU logo that is a keystone with a big S in it (think the Michigan State S situated in a keystone). I could do something like that with the lion shrine at the top of the keystone... would definitely need to be a bigger tattoo.
I'm not a walk around with my shirt off kind of guy (for many reason) and I'd want to make sure it is easily covered up if I want it to be, so the placement of it has me a bit puzzled. I really think putting it on the instep of my foot (just below my ankle on the inside of my foot) would be a decent option but might not provide enough space to get the details in without blurring them. That or I'll just go really hardcore and put it right on my neck :eek1:
