Reef Solution

Hi,

I have a question about dosing of Reef Solution, the bottle states that it supplies all trace elements besides calcium.

Will this product keep my alk and pH up? Or will i have to dose alk to keep the alk the up.

2nd i do use kalk could i still continue to drip the kalk and dose the reef solution ?

Hi,

Basically it does everything except calcium/alk. If you are dosing Kalkwasser, good chance Kalk will take care of your calcium and alk needs, so Reef Solution should work great with that.

I've found it works really good with ESV 2-part calcium/alk as well. It's good stuff.

Just make sure you put it in the refrigerator after you open it.

On a related note. Is there a zeo product that is the equivalent of reef solution that does NOT have to be refrigerated?

I'm not real knowledgeable on the Zeo line yet, quite a bit different then everything else. You might try the zeovit.com message board and see what they suggest.

I love Reef Solution. Its the only additive I use, and I get awesome polyp extension and coraline growth. This is the only product I've ever used that actually does what it says it will. As long as your water chemistry is in order, Reef Solution really takes things a step further.
