Reef Tank and Clownfish

My kids really like the clowns. I'm new to this and plan on a reef tank with lots of coral. How will clowns do in a reef tank (or how will the coral do with clowns)? Do you get single clowns or multiple ones to have a community?

Thanks from a newbie.

a pair of clowns would be fine in a reef tank. if you plan on getting a anemone be mindful on how big it will get.

Ocellaris are inexpensive, and hardy. They also look like Nemo, so your kids will probably love them. I would not add more than a pair. The only bad thing with clowns in reef tanks, is that they sometimes adopt corals as hosts. Sometimes the coral doesn't do so well with this.

do a little research also. certain clowns will only host certain anemones(if you plan on getting a nem). also some clowns are more aggresive than others.hth
