reefbrites to replace mh?

My bulbs are due for a change, and im seriously considering going with a bunch of reefbrites instead of my 3x400 mh bulbs.
my tanks 29" deep with mostly lps coral.
Question is how many strips at 48" will be good enough for a lps and some sps on top.
I like the strip idea cause i can buy an extra strip hear and there don the road to upgrade, but are these enough to grow sps and lps?

Unless they have changed since I used them last no they won't be strong enough. Stick with your halides.

+1. I ended up just adding actinic supplement LEDs but kept my mh. I tried it on a frag tank and I had 2 strips of the reefbrites on a 30 gallon with no good result changed them with in 2 weeks. Hope that helps.

If you want a cheaper led you could look at the Apollo led system people seem to have good results with them
