Reefcleaners.org and priority mail

Nuff Already

Well, i took a chance and ordered a bunch of snails and macro algae using priorty mail from Reefcleaners.org. They shipped it out Monday and I received it today. It took 4 long days to get it. USPS held the package in Florida for 2 nights. I was sure everything would arrive dead. To my surprise, pretty much all the snails made it. 30 nassarius snails all good. 30 nerite snails all good. 20 periwinkles all good. 200 cerith snails all moving around now (i ordered 60). Gracilaria and ulva arrived in good shape as well although several other macro algae that i ordered stunk so bad I threw it in the trash. Considering the whole shipment was $52 with free shipping, I am thrilled how this turned out.

That's too long. You sure they didn't create the label Monday, ship it Tuesday and you received Thursday?

I have had this happen and because I live in the middle of no-where it has taken four or five days. The prices are good but the first order I made arrived frozen because it was winter and there were no heat packs....I know they are in Florida but still. the second order was cold but not frozen but a lot of loss. That has been awhile and I haven't been back - what kind of experience are others having.

We had a package delay by a day (an overnight order from reefcleaners) and most of the non snail items (crab/fuzzy chitons etc) died. Really sad that John can't negotiate with UPS/Fedex for more reliable priority/express shipping.

It would have cost my local ReefClub $132 to ship 11 pounds overnight from FL to TX with UPS. John paid $72 to ship it USPS (since we qualified for free shipping) and it arrived a day late. ... shame

USPS accepted the shipment on Monday according to the tracking info. The fact that we had nice weather really helped. And I received it on Friday.

I did the Live Aquaria BYO reef cleaner package and got free overnight and I think I spent 65.00. You have to spend minimum 60.00. Nassarius snails were tiny as the only draw back. I wouldn't trust fish coming usps priority.

i doubt it. be in business for any given time and eventually youll have a hickup

To some extent I expect the occasional hiccup from mail order, but John has always been great to work with, much like the Ecotech, Premium Aquatics, and LiveAquaria people, in my experience.

i dont know where the issue fell, but myself i would deal with them, but i dont feel that the postal system can properly handle the items. no matter if reefcleaners replace items or what have you.

i mean in reality i can order from bid sites and those are typically not always a business and they seem to be fine using ups/fedex (which is hardly a great service either) that kinda makes me wonder why reefcleaners chose not to.

I recently order from them: mostly CUC and some macro. Everything shipped quickly and they gave me extras of everything I ordered. My $.02.
