Everything will be shipping to me and I do live in the 'Boro... about 3 minutes from campus. I expect to receive everything next week sometime... I'm going to try to get the order in early on Friday so maybe they can ship it out on Friday too.

If you guys could pay me at the swap, that would be really, really helpful. On Friday I'll have the totals after discount and will PM everyone their totals.

What I may do (depending on how much shipping is) is I may divide up shipping. Some people are ordering oversized or overweight items. I may divide it up into those who have oversized/overweight and those who don't, and split it from there to make it fair to those who are only ordering small items. IF this is cool with everyone else. At the same time, I'm not sure yet how much they are going to charge for shipping. It may be very feasible since they have an account, etc. Not sure just yet.

So, in summary, if shipping of the overweight/oversized items causes the overall shipping to skyrocket to, say, $100 or more, I may divide up the shipping to orders that are oversized/overweight and those that are not. It should definitely still be cheaper than ordering on your own, though.

Sorry that was so long, I just want to make sure everyone is clear with what I'm thinking so they can give me feedback on it.

Shipping is only free on a couple of items I believe, John. And thats only a select few. If you'll go to the page with your sand on it, it says overweight shipping prices apply... they still may not be bad, don't forget, but there will be a little extra.

Its up to you, bro! Whatever you'd like to do. FWIW, tho, you can get 40lb bags of aragonite at eBay for $35 I think, before discount. I was/am going to get mine there if I get some.... I'm still trying to decide. But they may offer an extra discount this weekend, so thats something to consider.

Anyone have any experences with there ballast? I am looking into getting some t-5 and like having 4 ballest instead of IC 2 for the control aspect but have no idea what ballest they use?

Wayne -- are you talking about the normal HO T5 ballasts that reef geek sells?

The non IC ballasts are good ones -- program start. They don't overdrive the bulbs and so create less heat. They also create less PAR, but I think the bulbs already have too much PAR to begin with (the light pattern is different than MH -- so IMO PAR is not a good direct comparison -- and less PAR for T5 HO is okay when comparing normal HO ballasts and IC ballasts). At any rate, that is my opinion. The ballasts are good quality and reliable, and ReefGeek has good cust service.

If you go over $900 you do, otherwise its whatever level you reach by how much you order. We did one big order to reach 9% without one person having to spend $900.

On a side note the next time you do a huge group order for supplies you may want to check out the drs. They have fixed dollar amount shipping it could possibly save you a headache trying to Figure out shipping charges although I don't know if they would give you a discount or not. Brandon your really good at organizing group buys. I'm sure everyone appreciates your effort & maybe they will reward you with frags. How's the nuclear green doin by the way.

We actually got very discounted shipping from ReefGeek, too! Only $15 and that was because we had some 48" items.
