Thanks really happy everything is finally comming along.
Did some bartering for the Stand, and a good friend of Mine has a powder coating company locally. The stand mfg. Is located in Baldwin park. I can give you their info if your interested.

SBad news, I was installing the internet router next to the dish network box, which is above my DT alittle to the right well I did not secure the router so it fell into the tank and not only that water splashed out of the tank. Well for sure the EB8 started smoking and forsure the router is no good, all my other power supplys look good.
I did speak to a sells rep from Neptune and said to ship the power supply.
On a side note I added 2 bottles of bio spira live bacteria.

Ok time to update this thread,
Sorry I have been really busy at work and family. Till this day I have done alot of progress with the tank with spare time around work. I just want to admit to a noob move, what I did was put the cermeco rock straight in the tank... Big error, I should of known better. I totally forgot to rinse the rock or give it a vinegar bath. In the mean time checked the other elements and everything seemed ok until I started putting my clean up crew which consisted of:
6 nassarius snails
12 hermit crabs
2 Mexican Turbo's
2 large halloween crabs
2 Cleaner Shrimp
1 green cromis
Now I did add dr tims one and only, also added bio spira ive bacteria.. Little I know I lost my cleaner shrimps and some snails and crabs. My conclusions are that the rock had to have a strain of come copper eighter after or before the baking process. Now I did add them just recently, not right before the bacteria.
This is embarrasing to me but the reason why I write it Is so other people dont make the mistake I did. I can say I was impatient at the time to get the tank going.
In the meantime the Eb8 was shipped to Neptune for a possible repair from water damage, unfortunatelly I was not fixable but I picked up two new ones on a offer I couldn't refuse from them.
Ill post more pictures of somethings I did tomorrow. Goodnight all.

So how do you all deal with all of the electric cords and power supplies?
I decided to build a box to fit all of the ugly looking cables but more than anything to prevent water damage.
I really put some thought in making my own but saw this cabinet at the local hardware store and pick it up for 38.00
Here is a picture after I painted with the eb8's and aquabus and the doser ontop
just need to set up the Apex again...
More progress comming soon..

Darn dont know why I cant keep my thread updated. But yet again im on RC alot lol.
So up to now my current live stock is the following:
1 large borboniuos
1 pair or mcculloch clownfish
1 yellow tang
1 green chromis
I have also added afew pieces of coral. I started with softies, now kicking in to sps. I was experimenting loss in color from the AI lights which is my fault for running them at high intensity. Although they are going down by this week.
here are a few pics

Last week I ordered my new ATI t5 hybrid from mike and annette at sexy corals. Got mad love and nothing but respect from me. He really comes thru. So here is a few pic I just took with leds only. By the way ordered the 24" 8bulb version
Never owned T5's so cant wait to set them up. Any recommendations on certain bulbs, I'll use Ati's but what colors or how many of each?

I use blue+, purple+ and actinic. Yoou can add a little whiter by adding coral+

I run a 6 bulb Omar. I use 2 act, 3 blue+ and 1 purple+. It looks like 18 - 20k and thats a color I like personally. My favorite bulb is a radium 20k mh so I try to achieve a color similar to that

So I installed the light today in my spare time. took me a few minutes and using only leds drastically changed the spectum, corals look way nice even my borbiniuos looks alot more pink. Very pleased . Ill load up pictures tomorrow.

they sure are looking nicer, didn't realize how much they have morphed under AI lights.
One Fan is making alot of noise, tried calling ATI seems they were unavailable, will try tomorrow.
Here are a few pics with the lights up. Its arduous trying to take a nice pic of the lighting spectrum (LEDS) with a cell phone.
