Bill was over at my house yesterday and took a few pictures of my tank using my camera (so any imperfect pictures are a result of my camera and not his photographic talents).

Thanks Bill!

I don't remember if I posted this, so I'll do it again just in case... this is a picture I took the other day with just the actinics on:

Lonnie,
Again, your tank has to be one of the nicest mixed tanks I've ever seen.

It's incredible the transformation in color the corals have made since you upgraded your sump. Your corals really pop with color now.

It was only a few years ago that you were greener then the picture above.

Great job!

Thanks guys... It wouldn't have been at all possible without ALL the help and support from my LIRA friends.

A frag tank is now part of the system. I just need to build the shelves and put the lights on the tank... and then start hacking away LOL.

Tank looks great, Lonnie. Everything seems to be in good health, and the colors are awesome.
Congrats! :D

lonnie let me know when you want to do the lights then i'll also help you frag all your corals for the tank. what kind of lights are you going to use.

i can definatly help on november 26th the girl friend is going to a jets game. if you want to do it sooner i can probly help over the week just after work. give me a call.

Ahhh... and I realized after I posted before that I forgot to credit the very FIRST coral I ever got... and that was from LongIslandAndy. The mushrooms are still the focal point right smack in the front middle center --- every one always comments on how big they are (but, I don't like to brag ;) )

Also the green star polyps too... and I'm probably forgetting a coral or two courtesy of Andy!

Ray,

Christine sent me a link to this article: http://www.melevsreef.com/fuge_bulb.html

And, those are the lights that I got. I tried finding the fixtures at home depot but I came home empty.

I figured that cost-wise these would be my best way to start for now. I bought a package of the bulbs at Costco... it was something like four bulbs for $16.

I'm game to set up the tank any time you are :)

I bought the egg crate and the plastic ties already. Just not sure how to set it up.

Hey i like those lights Christine sent you the link to! Im currently running 2 40 watt flourescent bulbs 24/7 I can chop my energy usage down over 50% with those power compacts :) 19 Watts! Funny part is ive converted most of my bulbs in the house over to them and never even thought about running them on the refugium.

guys i am going to colorado on the 3rd. going to hit the stores out there. if there are any colors of zoos you are looking for let me know i'll pick them up while i am there.
