Reefkeeper questions

I'm new to this controller thing and am somewhat confused on what I need to buy.

Here's my needs:

Monitor pH
Monitor Salinity
Monitor Temperature
Monitor all this from my cellphone

It looks like the reefkeeper lite will do all these things for me. What modules do I need to buy and what probes do I need to buy to do this?

I love my reef keeper lite, but it controls temperature, heater and lights. With everything you are asking for (Salinity and Web Connection) unless you can buy it all used and save a bunch, will need to move up to the Archon, or the new Apex to keep from having all the cords and modules to make a lite work.

You wouldn't need that much to make it work, just an SL2 and Net module. The SL2 can monitor pH and salinity, temp probe just connects at the end of all the modules on the lite. I'm not sure how online monitoring works with the lite but the Net module is the way to get there. I imagine you'd need to set up port forwarding on it.

Even with the net module, there is no software to allow remote control via cell for the Reefkeeper. You can monitor but can't make changes.

True, but btownbrett just mentioned monitor. Alton was correct, he would need to upgrade to the Archon or Apex to be able to make changes remotely.

Yeah, I'm just interested in monitoring. So it sounds like a reefkeeper lite, SL2, and Net module.

This looks like a pretty good deal if I didn't need the salinity, then I would just have to buy the net module

This is not true. Just access the Web server from your cell to control.
