Reeflink problems

Hi,

I purchased my reef link, everything worked great.. closed the app. (apple). Then when I went to use it a few hours later it says no radions are on my profile.

Went on ecosmartlive.com with my pc.. radions where there and working fine.

Today I go on the app and same thing, first it wasn't communicating, then It says can't find them.

And I guess now ecosmartlive is down.

Are all the problems expected because its still in beta?... If so would have been nice to know before dropping 200 bucks.

Anyone else having issues?
 
I think I fugured out the problem.. reef link needed to upgrade.. the problem is it downloaded the upgrade but it has been stuck in verifying for half an hour .. is this normal?

I am experiencing the same problem, screen is stuck on verifying the upgrade.

(FWIW - using Google Chrome on a PC)

I power cycled Reef Link and connected to ESL again. It started the update process again and took several minutes to verify the upgrade at which time another update came across.

At this time It appears that I am able to connect to ESL through RL and control my lights.
 
Instead of using a centralised server wouldn't it have been a better idea to have the software embedded in the reef link and you connect directly to the reef link to control your lights.

I have the reef link and when I exit the iOS app the light resumes the previous mode, so if the are in blue and I set them to 20k they will go back to just blue.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I had to connect the reeflink to the pc via the supplied usb cable. there is an option in the reeflink setup to do a software update. Now Its working... although its still a little glitchy and I have to sign out and back in sometimes to get it to work.

We will be releasing an update to the EcoSmart Live iPhone app in the very near future. We have found and fixed several connectivity issues that could cause some of the problems that you have all been experiencing.
 
I know this is an old thread but I'm having the same issue with the update hanging on "verifying". How long should I let it sit before powering off the reeflink and starting again?

Nevermind.. Just needed to refresh my browser
