Thinking of ordering a ReeFlo pump for my new basement sump. Specifically the BlowHole Model 1450. I have read some good reviews online, any opinions ?

I'm not familiar with this particular model and it's recommended applications.

Noise is oftentimes NOT a critical factor for a pump located in a basement and that's why (although they're energy hogs) I tend to stick to the "never fail workhorse" pressure rated Iwaki, BlueLine and Little Giant pumps. There are several other makes as well, but for high head (ie: basement) applications I don't often see ReeFlo's.

I ran a hammerhead for 4 years. It was a horse! Had to dial it down. The issue with Reeflos are the seals. They do go from time to time.

I'm running a Snapper now, just like the hammerhead, quiet, lots of juice, low energy consumption. The seal has me nervous. Thinking of changing to a blueline. I've run them in the past. Not as eficient as Reeflos, but pretty darn good, and very quiet. Easy to work on too.

I've yet to replace a seal on a Reeflo, but I guess it's not that bad.

Hi Chris I run a Iwaki 100 right now and have blue line for a standby the blue line is a lot quieter but in the basement it not a factor
