Reeflux 12k bulbs different colors?

I just got 2 Reeflux 250w MH bulbs, both 12k. I was replacing a 10k, because I wanted something less yellow, and these two new bulbs are different from each other.

One of them is perfect, just the right amount of blue to it. The other is just as yellow as the 10k I am replacing. Half of my tank looks great and the other half looks the same as before.

Do I just need to give the lamp a chance to burn in or something? Why would they be different from each other like that?

Give it time to burn in, if it doesn't change email David at coralvue and I'm sure he will make it right.

I sent pix of the bulbs side-by-side to CoralVue, and after trouble-shooting, they took care of it without problem at all.

I guess one was labelled wrong or something, but whatever happened, I just wanted to praise their customer support for how they handled this. (I say 'they', but it was David)

I would not hesitate to buy more of their bulbs in the future. These things look good, and I know they stand behind their product.

can you post a pic of your tank and what supplemtal lighting you have i would like to see the color of these bulbs

I can't do it justice with my camera/photography experience. Plus, my tank isn't impressive & there's nothing to compare to.

I switched from 10k to the 12k, and I like this MUCH more. I do not use any supplementation at all. My other tank has 4 PC's, 2 10k and 2 actinic. It looks yellow to me now, since I've gotten used to these.

Anyway, here are a couple pix. If anyone happens to recognize & can identify the frag to the left of the green brancing monti, I would greatly appreciate it!

If they are single ended bulbs try rotating them in the socket. I had one pink and one blue at first but after a week of experimenting they were the same.

Since I had 2 identical bulbs and ballasts, it made troubleshooting much easier. I switched the bulbs and got the same result, though I do understand that not being fully seated could result in a weird color.

Anyway, my point of posting again to this thread was mostly to say how great their customer service was.

For those who were wanting to see the color, I really don't think my other pix do these bulbs justice. To be able to compare a 10k to these, here are a couple pix of my hand under them. (actually, the less-blue one is the bulb that was mis-labelled, but it looked like a very good 10k should, so you could have a point of comparison)
