Reefs2Go Two Thumbs Down!!

First, when I ordered I put in the comment box a request to be called before shipping my order. Two days after ordering I received an email with a tracking number. Since I was never called and still had questions I emailed the company and requested they please call me. (They do not list a phone number) I never received a phone call. Ever.

When the order came the hermits were micro sized. Every site I have ever ordered from listed the size of the animals, or if they didn't, you got at least medium sized specimens. These hermits were the size of a worn down pencil eraser head. Micro, not worth bothering with.

Here's the kicker, all 40 turbo snails were DOA. I called the company, I got the number off the paper that came with the shipment. Whomever I talked to would give me no information and would only take my name, shipping invoice number and contact information. I never received a phone call, ever, to this date.

After three business days and about four emails I finally got an email response. They offered to replace the snails that were DOA but would not ship without paying shipping, or ordering $50 of other merchandise. What they ship you isn't worth 1/2 of what they charge so I will never order from them again. The credit is worthless as it would have to pay about four times what their product is worth to get free shipping.

I honestly have never seen smaller hermit crabs in my 10 years in the hobby. I have also never had any company, in any business sector, refuse to call me to discuss a business transaction. This was especially disturbing considering that I requested to be called at least four different times.

Poor quality animals and non-existent customer service. Buyer beware with this company.

Fidel! I hate to hear that. I know some others have had poor luck with them as well. I have ordered from reefcleaners.org and they are really cool folks, and it even got to podunk winchester with ZERO doa. The owner dives and collects the critters himself.

may want to try those guys next time.

+1

The guys on nano-reef are very pleased with them.

Reefcleaners is great my local club has done I think 6 group orders in the last year or so and everyone was completely happy....even if something happens John will make it right....i will be placing a huge order from him in the next couple weeks.

He always send more than you order to make up from any DOA

I would also like to add that Reefs2Go is horrible. I placed an order with them for close to $300 in items. Received the items without a heat pack and everything except one emerald crab was dead. I took the pictures by laying the item (unopened) on the paper they supplied showing the order number. I emailed them all to issues@reefs2go.com and waited, waited, waited. A week and a half went by and no response so I sent a follow up message. No response to that so 2 days later I sent another message, always waiting 48 hours in between to give them time to respond. Finally 3 weeks later I got an email saying they were backed up and busy. They said they would give me credit right ASAP. It is now 3 months later and I never heard back from them. I contacted my credit card company to report the fraudulent transaction and I am waiting for my refund. I would stay as far away from this company and it's DBA names as possible. They go by Reefs2Go, Alive2Go,and Piece of the Reef.

yea if ya look at other forums which i look over 6 others other then this one and the majority within those forums all order from john and are very happy with him and his cutomer service and im one of em :D

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience, Fidel.

We (MTRC) did a reefs2go order about a year and a half ago or so that turned out ok. But I've heard since then they've gone severely downhill. Reefcleaners and Reeftopia for me. Between the two of those, I don't really need any other CUC.

Reef Central has a vendor experience forum. I strongly recommend checking there before placing an order, and, I'd also suggest that you add this experience to the mix so others can benefit from your experience.
