If you spend the night down there expect to pay $15 to $20 a night. The best place is probably at the hotel you are staying at. If you go down there during the day I usually park at the Pavillions for $7. Most parking is comparable where ever you park though and i would look to try and park close so you don't have to walk so much.
I helped set up at ReefStock last night and everything was pretty much ready to go when I left. There are a ton of great prizes for the raffle, there were about 700 (yes 700) frags by the time I left, and I was able to talk with a few of the vendors and speakers and they where all great people. Although my camera ran out of batteries quickly here are the few shots that I took early:
For those parking at the hotel, Reefstock is located near the entrance of the second floor of parking. When you enter the garage you need to go up 2 levels. You cannot miss it.
I also wanted to go, but the 120 gallon monkey on my back required too much work to go. And with my tank about to start it's cycle, I couldn't bring anything home anyway
20 more gallons of water, putting in the powerheads, and arranging the cords left and then I'm done! Once it's cycling, I'll start a thread on it.
There was a lot of frags thats about all I can say. Got there a little after 12:00 and the food was already gone . I guess I expected more from the vendors section, I was ready to buy a skimmer or lights but there was nothing there. Picked up a few nice frags though.
I got there a little after 12 also and was disappointed as well. I had a pocket full of cash to buy some great frags, but walked out with nothing. Perhaps all of the good stuff was gone before I got there.
Im not going to say who I work for as I don't want to get on the wrong side of the mods. I was a vendor there though, working in livestock. I did not see most of the dry goods vendors as I was extremely busy all day and they were not set up the night before, but I know we sold at least a few of the items we brought, including the only light.
scaast I did see most of the corals though and all I can say is...what were you looking for? what frags did we not have? I want to know for myself as I tried to bring a little of everything.
I was mainly looking for some nicely colored zoas. Don't get me wrong...there were a LOT of frags...some great acans...just not what I was looking for.
