No i think it will stay there for now because i like it better up here and i also have a small one down stairs. I moved the two powerheads a little more to the back to make it look a little nicer and it did will post pics. I will hopefully be getting the light in 2 or 3 weeks but that will give me more time for the cycle.

Everything is running great this morning and i already love the new powerheads they have great flow. They make flow around the whole tank!!!

Have you taken a set of parameter readings before and after adding the powerheads? You should record the data each time so you can look back and notice when things changed. As long as those test kits are not out of date, they should be fine for now.

Do you know which light you are going to purchase at this point?

Also, if you like the heater in the main display, perhaps you could just move it to a place that is not so conspicuous. Maybe straight up and down, right next to the overflow, or horizontal near the bottom behind the rock pile on the right side?

Keep up the good work.

Rumlad thanks for the reply. Ok as for the heater i will leave it there for now because i am not set on the idea but if i am going to move it i will place it somewhere where its not as visible. The light i am sold on its a t5 8x54 here is the link http://www.aquamartonline.com/01695_1_4_1584.html
The testing i do record and i will be testing the water either tonight or tomorrow tons of homework so i dont know if i will get to it.

Well done RT6 (on the homework first concept  ) Let us know when the ammonia rises and falls, as it may then be time to put some life into this big bucket o'briny.

Do you have any plans for what is going to go into your sump / refugium yet? Do you have any good LFS's nearby that have macro algea, small frags etc that you can start looking for? Is there a reef club nearby that perhaps some members would be willing to offer a few starter frags to a budding young reefer?

Nice fixture I have the 4 bulb, wish I would of got the 8 bulb In the first place. What do they charge to ship at that place your getting It from?

OK there is this one LFS that i love and everything i get there is great. As for the fuge i need to buy sand for that and my uncle is going to cut me some cheto and i will use that. I am not going to be able to get to the testing today but tomorrow i probably can. When i get my light i think it might be ready for some fish but that all depends on the water. Mr Palm Beach they do not charge for anything FREE SHIPPING GOT LOVE IT!!!

no problem i will definitely let you know. ? for you guys when should i add some sort of cleaning crew like could i take a snail from my old tank and put him in there.

OK guys i have one question a little of topic has or does anybody have experience with a sixline wrasse. I am a big fan of all wrasse and i do have some in mind for the tank right now i have
Melanarus Wrasse
Sixline even though i heard some bad things about them
Radiant wrasse
How many wrasse can i mix together. The one i want the most is Melanarus Wrasse.

Woke up this morning and cam down to look at everything and everything was running great. I love the new powerheads they are great. Skimmer and everything else is running beautiful.

okay RT6, lets take these Q's one at a time shall we.

CUC - If you put one in now, what would they "clean up?" Now, this is not to say that you can't add a snail from your old tank, I think that would be fine, but you don't need a whole "crew" at this point, do you? Are you going to buy a new CUC from a vendor, or pick and choose your own from the LFS? Beware of some of the crabs that they offer, not all are as good as they claim. Look for a variety of snails as well, both sand dwellers and glass / rock cleaners.

Six line Wrasse - I have not kept one personally, although I have been tempted several times to try and keep some snail / worms under control. I have a small tank and do not want the current peaceful balance upset by the 6LW, as I have learned that sometimes they can be a PITA to other fish. Not worth the hassle to me. You may be fine in your 90. I think this is another issue you should consider at this point. You have been mentioning a lot of different fish that you want to keep in this tank. There should be a definite order in which you introduce each specimen into the tank so as to minimize the stress amongst them. Once you settle on a list of the fish you would like to keep, start another thread about the right way to introduce each fish to the tank. It should make for a good thread.

As for other types of wrasses that may work in your tank, post a thread in the fishes forum and seek advice from some of the folk there. There used to be a whole sticky thread on the wrasse family with more info than I could digest. Personally, I think the flasher wrasses are way cool to watch in action.

Hey RT6

In response to this:

I have a Sixline Wrasse in my 29 Gallon Aga. He was the first fish introduced, and he shares the tank with 1 Black Saddle Clown, 1 Yellow Watchman Gobie, and 1 Midas Blenny.

He is a model citizen. I would not recommend this guy if you want to house multiple wrasse species however. If he was your only wrasse in the 90 Gallon I would wager that you would be fine, unless you got an ill-tempered specimen. They are very interesting fish and have tons of personality.

The wrasse has been in my tank for 1 1/2 years with no problems. The other fish have been in the tank for for around 14 months, except for the Blenny who was added 2 months ago.

I had a six line wrasse for awhile. He was very nervous and always hiding in the rock works. Did a good job for me eaitng flatworms. I liked him but he disappeared.

I replaced him wiht a yellow coris wrasse. I like this one a lot better. He's always swimming out in the open, and adds a lot of color to my tank.

Alright Rumlad thanks for the reply. As for the CUC i do not want to add a whole one at this time because like you said there is not much to clean up and even if there is any. So maybe i will put a snail or two in from my old tank. I do not think i am going to go with sixline but i will go with some other wrasses. I am still deciding on what fish i want for the tank. How many do u think i can hold if i have 1 salfin and maybe one other tang. I will definitely post a thread in the fish forum.

This is why i asked this question because i knew if i got this wrasse that it would be a bad choice if i had other wrasses in there thanks for the reply. Glad you joined the thread.

thanks for the reply nanogurl. This is why i wanted to get a sixline wrasse because they do keep the bad things away. But the reason i dont want them is because they will probably fight with each other. So i made the decision of not going with the sixline and going with some other wrasse like the yellow coris wrasse always was a big fan of them.

These are the wrasses i am deciding on
Radiant Wrasse
Melanurus Wrasse
Mystery Wrasse
Divided Wrasse
maybe an x mass Wrasse
maybe the yellow coris wrasse

Yea, I have no experience with multiple wrasses' in a tank. But maybe someone else can help in the other forum. Goodluck!
