:) Your parents want the tank out, YOU NEED A THERMOMETER!!!!, use it for leverage, if i get this tank straightened out, the other is history.

GOOD POINT GOOD POINT. Yea i will keep on trying.

Ask your dad to stop by Ace Hardware, Tru -Value, or Petco on his way home, or ask your Mom to look in the grocery store next time she is there, party shopping. They might just find one to get you to stop being such a PITA asking to go out all the time!

Has the Sailfins Ich condition gotten any better or worse since you've tried curing him? If not, you might consider treating with antibiotics once you've gotten all of the other livestock and rock out of the 37.
And don't you also have a pbt with HLLE? How is that fish doing? How about we fix these fish before you go buying any more "new" ones? Think how happy they would be to live in that huge new tank, without any disease!

Ok the sailfin has gotten a little better but not to much. I do not have a pbt it was a hippo with HLLE and i gave him back to the fish store for no store credits. Yea i dont know how to get rid of this ich problem.

Ah yes, good old page 24, seems like just yesterday...

So what else is left in the 37 at this point?

The 37 has the shrimp, sailfin, and jawfish in there. I also think the jaw-fish has ich as well.

Kar i will probably not use a qt. I will just do very long accumulations for the delicate fish. I wanted to keep it but my parents just wont let me.

that sucks about the sailfin. I think that 37 is too small for it. If your LFS has a spot for it, I would give it to them, otherwise, I doubt he will survive.

okay, I didn't want to do this, but,

geez...if you can't even come up with enough cash for a $4 thermometer, how would you expect to do ANYTHING to help the sailfin??? A formalin dip might help, but it's probably at least $10.

sk8rreefgeek i have the money its my parents cant get me out of the house and i they cant get it while they are out. I will keep on asking. I think i might get the jawfish out so he doesnt get ich either. I might also take out the shrimp but i might keep him in there to help the sailfin but he has not done much to help the cause.

Yea i might take him out to get a closer look at him and see if he does. I also might have a problem because this fish needs at least a 2 1/2 sand bed for it to build a borrow.

This could be a problem. But it might not be. but i have search on a couple of websites and they all say the same thing or they say a bigger sand bed.

how many miles to the FS? It's probably too cold to ride a bike over there.
I used a formalin dip on a blue tang once, and it worked great. (no, it's not in my 55, back off tang police!) again, I'm not tryin to get down on you, we just hate to see fish suffer.

go-ped??

Ok well this tang was bought to be qted for a little bit and then go into the 90 but we got a little held back and this fish never showed signs of having ich until now. I think i might add the shrimp tonight because i got some algae that he needs to eat that is developing on the sand bed.

I bet he got a glimpse of the 90 and hes just stressed with getting ready for the move :D j/k. Did you do he FW dip?

well, good luck...I'll check back later. I just get a bad feeling about the fish getting ick. scary scary. did you know that the ick spores fall off the fish, only to reproduce and rise from the sandbed? (or so I've heard)

Can you force out some tears for your parents? have you tried the 'ol "I could be out doing drugs instead of this" line?

or "if it was high school sports, you'd take me to get equipment right?"

it worked for me, finally got my mom to buy some new wheels for my skateboard. aahhhh, good times...

and wait a minute, thinking back to those "good 'ol days" I would take a bus $.50, and then transfer to a light rail $1.10 (day pass) just to get to the skate shop. you can't tell me there aren't bus lines that run right to the FS in PA
