Reffing in Clinton

I just figured i would introduce myself real quick I live in Clinton and have a 50gal tank with a 20 to 25 gal sump/refugium and it is all controlled by a Profilux

I am running 4 36" T5's powered by two IC 430's The tank is about a month old and i am still finishing all the little touches ill try to take a few pics tommorrow

Its good to know there is a few others around here

also does anyone have a ballast to power 2 IC T5HO's 36" I am looking for a dimmable ballast or know where to get one

As long as the wattage matches or is greater than the rating on your T5s, you could get a dimmable ballast at Stokes. You might even be able to find one with a timer.

Thanks for all the kind words guys! the hood and stand are still a work in progress as you can see lol there are the two clowns and a yellow head jawfish in there now and hopefully this weekend I will pick up a few corals that will do good under my limited lighting for now!!!

The lights in that picture is with only two bulbs on the 75/25 and a Aquablue the ballast to run the front and back Blueplus bulbs is bad thats why I am looking for a couple ballast and I have the Profilux controller to dim!

If I buy a 54W ballast will it damage the 39W bulbs or will it be fine?

One more ? if yal can help what should i run on a qt tank i have been foolish with those three fish and not qt and got lucks so I have a 13gal tank I could use how should I set it up and any pics of your setups would be great to

quick question I would like to get some zoas this weekend to ad some color to the tank do you think they will be ok for now or should I wait to get all four bulbs going?

The tank is about 19" deep and the two bulbs have separate Tek reflectors

I think the lights would b fine for zoa's I grew them like crazy with cf lights

I agree, 2 T5's is plenty for zoas...
