Reflection

Just got a new true perc a couple of days ago. He's a pretty healthy guy and beautiful. He wont leave the glass though!!! I guess he is in love with his reflection.

Have any of you guys experienced this, if so, how long did it take for your clown to notice other areas of the tank?

He's probably just interested in getting to what's on the other side of the glass.
You can see a reflection on any glass that is not parallel to the pane you're looking through. The fish probably can't see that.

Haha, I should have figured that out! Thanks WDLV. There's a fishing rod on the side of the tank he's at so maybe he wants me to fish him out?

Never had a clown act like this, just still kind of strange. Any other ideas?

If your water parameters are a bit off, he could be looking to swim to somewhere where they are more to his liking.

He'll only be interested in the fishing rod if he's like one of these emo kids running around with a pierced lip. Black ocellaris and onyx percs are more prone to pierced lips than more brightly colored species.
