OK so my dad works in a casino and has access to a lot of bulbs that seem to find their way home.

So I've narrowed it down to two options. Which do you think i would have better growth from?

15w 5000k cfl bulb

or

18w 2700k par38 bulb

I would seem to think the 5000k clf bulb will get better growth because of the higher kelvin rating, the par38 is much more "yellow". But the par38 seems like much more intense.

Anyone have some experience with these bulbs?

I have no experience with the bulbs you have listed, I just use a cheap old CFL bulb from Walmart, 6500k rating. My cheato grows like crazy, I have to thin it every couple weeks or so.

they both will work, only diff is the led may last longer. so you save money there.
