I am setting up a new reef 220. Had originally bought a ProClear 300 Wet dry with bio balls prior to deciding on going reef. I will now lose the bio balls and was wondering if this may be convertible to a fuge. It holds about 37 gallons total and I would have to put some baffles within it . One side would recirculate (return) water back to display tank via pump. The other would have a Gen X pump pushing water to my MRC 3 Skimmer.
Even though the sump is treated for 300 gallon tanks, my concern is one of flooding if the pump goes off.
If this conversion is not plausible, I may just have to scrap the wet dry and buy a new fuge. Anyone know of the capacity and model I should look at and where?
Thanks Mates,
