here is a refugium that i plan on adding to my 90 gallon. im not gettin to much feed back else where so im puttin it here to maybe get some. just a little bit. :p at least enough to make me feel better when i go and buy the rest of my supplies tomorrow.

the water enters the first chamber with some eggcrate goes to the refugium area the first black box is my skimmer feed pump and the last one my return pump

I made one just about the same for my 75g. I used a 20 L aquarium. The only difference is my bubble baffles are right after the skimmer.

my paint skills are the suck :( im going to run it right after the baffle for the refugium area im thinkin just now that im lookin at it again that i should maybe add another baffle before the return at the refugium side with a bunch of holes in it to help with even flow through the fuge.

How wide is the tank? Your not gonna have a lot of free space where water can drain back into when the power goes off. What do you plan on adding to the fuge? It doesn't need to be that deep, but it can be if you want.

What jer77 said. I think the baffles on the right are a little high. You'd have to keep the sump/fuge nearly at capacity normally which would not allow much space for drainage should the power go out or the return pump fail.

im planning on putting some check valves and syphon breaks in the plumbing. right after the bulk heads from the tank. im leaving about 3 inches total on the 3 from the right and dilling a bunch of holes in the top of the one with my return pump. think that will work ill try to draw some more in paint.

ok final draft before build. the circles are the check valves and the squares are gate valves good or not

for now i dont know what kind of macro i want to toss in there somethin that just grows fast and doesnt need alot of light for a while just more water volume.

The baffles don't seem right to me. One change I'd make is to raise the second baffle higher and lower the third. The second baffle should be off the bottom to allow the water to flow under it. It should also be 1/2" to 1" higher than the two surrounding baffles. I don't know that the second baffle is useful in your diagram.

yeah i dont know why i did that. on my drawing in front of me its like that, the water goes over the first under the second and over the third
