everything i am read on the rs-80 says no more then 80 gallons. but you guys are using it on bigger tanks. am i reading everything correct?

i was using it on a total volume of about 200 gallons with a medium stock of fish

I put a new RS 180 on my 90 sps skimms great.

and it worked great i am assuming. i will olny have about 150gallon system so it should be fine correct

i just built a 30G sump for my tank. It only cost 100 bucks for the tank, plastic for baffles, and for sealant. By far cheaper then buy one pre made I'll post pics when I get a chance.

I would put both over flows/filter socks on one side of the sump, and then fudge and then skimmer, and then return, this way you only need one buble trap. Also look at sulcata's 210 built, he has a cool filter sock box designed by some guy called northbay

I actually made a box on the fuge side for the drain pipe and cut grooves in the box about halfway up for the water to escape. like the one here on Melevs reef http://www.melevsreef.com/acrylics/sumps/a/sump_model_a.html
