Refugium

Im buying a Aqueon ProFlex Sump system model 2 for my 72 gallon bow front saltwater tank. Im going to be running it with the refugium setup. I want to set up a deep sandbed. My questions are:
1. What kind of sand should I get?
2. Should I put my bigger rocks from my current sump in there?
3. I planned on getting 2 clumps of cheato. Is that good enough?
4. Do you put a clean up crew in there? if so about how many and what kind?

Id appreciate any help on the matter. thank you!

for reference.

1. For sand, this is great for a DSB http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=16764

2. Sure you can

3. I would start with a small amount of cheato and it will grow progressively. 2 clumps are fine.

4. I don't really think you should put a CUC in there, mainly because I hear people saying they cause problems in the sump. Mostly snails are a problem, especially if you plan on having a float switch for an ATO or something. The snails will interfere with that.
But I guess a hermit or 2 wouldn't hurt...

Like lets say for example, that float switch as I mentioned above. If a snail is on the glass and moves up and triggers the float switch, you will get more water from your reservoir than you really need. Or something can get in the baffles or stuff like that. It's the little things that can cause a big problem later on.
