would hooking up a refugium off the return line of my chiller make the water to cold for good algee growth or should i try to do it another way?<a href="http://s130.photobucket.com/albums/p250/skippy823/?action=view&current=Presentation1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p250/skippy823/Presentation1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

what size chiller? and for the fuge depending on the size 300 gph would work. also most chillers are around 700 gph. if you put things inline they require diff flow and one possibly may not work to the fullest potential. the barracuda is 4500 gph so breaking it down for the 220 gallon at 3-5 times turnover would be 1100. the refug 300, the chiller 700. total is 2100. don't know how much headloss you would have with the setup but let's say 10 feet. so the pump would produce 3018 gph so you would have around 918 gph to spare give or take

yeah that would work i have a cl on the tank as well. was just wondering how much flow for the ref. so if i tee it off before the chiller you think ill be ok?

why don't you split the tank in half so you can the right flow for the fuge and the correct flow for the frags. split it down the middle and have the tank drilled for 2 1" bulkheads. that should work better. or have 2 seperate tanks.
