Regaining a purple tangs colour?

Hey I picked up a purple tang from my LFS that has lost its original colour. I'm just wondering if proper feeding will help it regain colour, or will it never get its colour back.

Currently feeding it both Purple/green algae soaked in Torpic marin lipovit with immunovit+cyclopeeze, aswell as feeding it mysis and formula 2 soaked in the same mixture.

I've seen many fish of varying species regain full vibrant colors given the right conditions. With a good diet and good water, I'd think your fish will brighten up in time.
