My 3 month old regal angel has developed a growth on his lower lip that has rapidly grown to the size of a large pea over the last 2 weeks. I have unsuccessfully tried freshwater dips and maracyn. The fish is otherwise eating and behaving normally. I cut off a large portion of the lesion and sent it to our hospital pathology department. I am told Mr. Angel Fish has a parasitic infection...
this fish was purchased from a on line retailer, was QT for 2 months, but I do not know if it was empirically treated...
Unfortunately it appears to be growing in part inside his mouth and I am afraid if I cant successfully treat him soon he will not be able to eat. ANy suggestions for treatment would be greatly appreciated. I will try and attach a picture, but for some reason, my photobucket tags are too long?
tank facts:
1 year 90 g sps tank, SG 1025, nitrates undect.
no new fish in last 6 months
tankmates: 6 anthias, copperband butterfly
thanks
