Regal Angel Primer

Alton
How did you pair the two. I tried to pair but one essentially kill the other. I really need to have some way to keep them apart if it does not work out.

They are not paired, the larger one just tolerates the smaller one now. They have been together almost two years, the smaller was a juvy when I added her. I am still hoping, my Flames took only a few months to pair

IMO, if they tolerate each other they will pair when mature. I had a Marine Beta that tolerate each other then eventually pair and spawned. It took them years. They were babies when I started. Prior to this I had two small ones that rip each other to bits and have to be separated. It too me 6 months to get one healed and fins grown back to the point where I can send him bact to the LFS

Learned something new. Thanks. I didn't know anything about Ammonia or CO2 or PH stuffs when shipping fishes over long distant.

Even for fish sourced locally, if you QT, just match tank salinity to that in the bag and no drip or water mixing is required. Very easy on the fish. You can the bring salinity up to normal levels over the course of a few weeks.

Regal Angel Primer

It came from BZA

They are known to send out crappy livestock. This was what I got from them, when the WYSIWYG showed a healthy specimen.

I just picked up a Red Sea Regal for $79 at LFS. It's picking a little neck clams and mussels after a couple of days of not eating. Now I need to make the transition to eating food in the column. Not sure how that's gonna work.

Keep on feeding him what ever he will eat until he get fatter. Then he will eat everything

79. Did they call the police on you. You stole that fish

That's awesome, the cheapest regal i've seems at my LFS was $199. I've been wanting one for years but never wanted to spend that much on such a delicate fish.

No he didnt make it. They sent me another one that was in great shape and eating. Ill try to get a pic
I am glad that you got one that is in great shape. Once they start to eat, they are hardy. After all these months my Regal angel is still somewhat shy and often go to the back of the tank when I approach, unless I just dump food into the tank.
