Regal tang with yellow tang

Hey guys I am new to reef central so take it easy on me lol. I want to add a blue regal tang and a yellow tang to my 120 gallon tank (I understand that my tank may be a little small for the regal but my LFS said they would take him if he outgrows the tank). I don't have a quarantine tank big enough for both of them at the same time, so I was wondering if I could add the regal tang first since he is less aggressive then add the yellow after. Or should I take my chances and put both of them in my quarantine tank, it's a 10 gallon. I plan on buying both of them small around maybe 1"-2". Any advice is appreciated.

Hello and welcome!! You are asking the right questions and kudos for QT'ing.
IMO a 10 gallon is not big enough for a yellow even for 4-6 weeks.. a 20L is a lot better and im not sure if petco has there dollar per gallon sale.. If you can pick one up I would do so immediately. However, if you are like me and all you can get is a 10 gal I would get the yellow first, and Only the yellow A regal is too big for your tank, RC recommends a 8 ft tank for them and I agree.. I would pass on the regal, but you are off to a great start!

Thanks for replying. I will try to get a bigger QT. Do you recommend using copper or hyposalinity in the QT or should I wait until I see any parasites?
