Regal Tang

I have a regal tang about a week now. His stomach is slowly getting flater and I'm worry. He look hungry picking on rocks but there are nothing to each from the rocks. I try feeding him brine shrimp, nori and cooked chopped shrimp w/out any success. I'm wondering is there anything else I can try? The regal is 2-3 in. size.

If he is picking at the rocks then that is a good sign. Try wrapping some nori around a piece of live rock rubble. You can use a rubber band to do this. Then place the piece of nori rock among the other liver rock near his favorite spot.

Tangs are primarily herbivores so they need seaweed, I would do what romanr said as well or use a seaweed clip.

Mine only eats food and is not a good algae eater. He loves seaweed sheet but won't graze. Try Hikari A pellets soaked in Zoe and garlic.

Thanks for everyone reply. I tried adding zoe to the food and the tang is nipping on the soaked food. I hope that will help entice it to starte eating soon.
