I added two 1.25 inch long regal tangs to a 29 gal temporary home. I got two because after researching, I discovered that the small ones are believed to acclimate better in groups.
Anyway, one is fine...the other stayed in hiding for a day. Today, the stressed(apparently) one stayed at the bottom of the tank...upright and not swimming. A few hours later, he was laying sort of on his side breathing heavy...another couple hours, and he was motionless laying on his side.
I figured I had lost him. When I reached in to remove him, he scooted off. Now he is hiding under a rock...upright, wiggling fins, breathing a little heavy, but to my astonishment, sitting upright.
Any ideas on saving this guy?
