? regarding color/Olympus SP-550UZ

I bought this camera because it had a sports setting so I could take "non-blurry" pictures of my clownfish (they won't stay still!). I have been trying to take pictures of my corals, but the color is washed out. I have tried all of the pre-set screens, but I can't get accurate color. For example, if I take a picture of my Purple Colt Coral, it looks like a regular beige colt. My photography skills most consists of making certain the sun is behind me when I am outside.

If anyone is familiar with this camera, can you give me any suggestions about getting accurate color when taking pics under PC or T-5 lighting? If not, can anyone suggest an inexpensive novice camera (under $300) with macro settings that I can get that will pick up the color correctly?

Thanks and happy holidays!!!!!

Merry Christmas :)
The setting you want to experiment with for color trouble is white balance. If your camera has a manual wb option give that a try (different cameras use different buttons for setting the wb manually so consult the manual if you have it, if not holler and we can get that info on the net I'm sure). You should also try the flourescent wb setting as that may work just fine. Try all of them [wb presets] and take a look at the pictures on the computer to see if any of them are close. If you get close you can adjust things on the computer to get them even closer to perfect.
