Regional Club Frag Swap – It’s on!!!!

by funman1
How many frags do we need to bring?
PS Unarce, payment just sent

I'll get more into the structure of the swap next week. I will say that it will be similar, if not identical to how BAR held their swap last February.

ahhh ok, sorry for the confusion I was comparing it to other swaps. Didn't know it was for those who pay only. Thanks for the clear-up Karl/Gresham.

I tried to negotiate that with the restaurant planner, but she requested that everyone needs to be a patron.

payment sent.

HUGE PROPS to Randy and Gresham for stepping up! Also to Karl for all he has done and will do in the next month!

Don't save all your good frags now everyone ;)

hey karl, just found out that we won't have anything to do that weekend (no papers due in class or anything!) so i sent the money for rachael and i to you.

if you need any help with anything (tables, time limit guy, etc.) just let me know. :)

thanks to Reef-Nutrition and gresham for helping to make this possible-- you guys are awesome.

Thanks, Danny! We could use of couple of people to patrol each round. Make sure everyone is following the rules during their pick, settling any skirmishes:p

Just a little taste of what to expect.

I'll be putting these two guys in the raffle. 2" Hippopus clams:D

Volunteers needed!

Volunteers needed!

Volunteers Please Post in this Thread

Please let me know if you are interested in helping with the frag swap. Karl, needs help running the swap. He's done a great job, but lets not make him do this alone.

Please post on this thread, and lets try to get together in October. We can try meeting before the MARS Oct meeting or we can meet online in a chat room or another more convenient place/time. Suggestions are welcome.

i'm more than happy to help out. :) i'm assuming that my gf will likely be dragged along, as well in the volunteering.

I can help out with the raffle or whatever.

they are true 'alien eye' zoanthids-- they usually sell for common sps frag prices for a single polyp (around $10-20). sometimes, you can find a wild collected colony for REAL cheap-- i, however, paid around $100 bucks for a small colony that i grew out, fragged, lost nearly all of (except for one solitary polyp), and grew out again. so yeah, these babies are my pride and joy. :) if you're lucky, you might take home a frag of these guys with a generic 'zoanthid sp.' name. :D

Yes! We partied with her at the Pi Alpha Phi asia fest in SF '94:dance:

Oh yah, that's right :D She was H O T :eek1:

:D

All kidding aside. This will be a charity event. Liz is narrowing down the candidates of where the proceeds will go to.

This increases the benefits of this event, twofold. Not only do we help preserve the natural reefs by propagating and sharing our corals, but also put forth a contribution to the community.
