Whats the most reliable ato for $100. I have a 75g dt with a 75g sump in the basement pumping up to dt. I also have my ro/di unit in the basement filling a 55g drum next to my sump. Thanks

I personally like the avast marine ato. I have for each tank I own. They require very little maintence and have multiple options for hooking up.

I would go for the avast ato for 100$ budget. It doesn't use any float switches so less chance of failure.

Spectrapure UPLC II. I also own the Avast but can't recommend it at this time. They are working on correcting my issue though, so we'll see. I never had a problem with my Spectrapure and Jeremy's support is second to none. Neither Spectrapure or Avast are $100 or less.

It looks like avast ato is about 90.00 w/o pump or shipping right?

The ATO outlet, or controller interface (output) is $90 yes. You also need a peristaltic pump which is another $100 from them. You could go cheap on the pump for $50 instead.

Coming in at $106 hard to beat. Also Tunze has a great reputation for making quality products.

That's the one. It uses a float switch but has a protective sheath over it.

I also own it's big brother which costs $208 and has both and electric eye and a float switch.

Based on the 2 year run of that system, I'm fairly comfortable with the quality of a tunze float switch. I clean it about once a year and it all ways looks like it could have gone much longer without bring cleaned before failure.
