remora c or refugium ???

im setting uop an oceanic 37 gallon w/shrooms, yuma, a brain, frogspawn and 2 sps which i keep near the top of the tank for extra light. i will be moving my marine betta into it and have a choice: my remora c skimmer of a hob refugium 13 long by 4 wide by 12 deep.................if you could add one or the other, what would u choose and why

i started my 60g reef w/ a little 10g. refug. I had a 55g FOWLR w/ a CPR on it. every other week or so I would throw the CPR on my reef, but wouldn't pull anything out of the water.

BUT, my tank wasn't really stocked by then.

IMO, a skimmer would be better. especially the remora C... one of the best HOB. you could always throw some macro in your display. tuck in the back some where or make it part of your aquascaping.

I had halimedia as part of my display for a long time, before it started to take off.

PS. there are also those little "in-tank" refuges. as wel.

thanks for the response, i was trying to have the out put of the remora pour into refugium but the plumbing is opposite....i like my remora , but i have had it over a year and still get microbubbles in the tank from it

hmm... micro bubbles are caused by water parameters that are off...(so they say).

I think there is an optional bubble trap that you can get. or use a trusty sponge that is unused and will not impede the flow of water too much.

I tried it w/ my CPR and found it overflowing about 1min later...lol.
