Remove Ritteri

Any good and fast way to remove a ritteri from a rock? I always have difficulty doin so. I blow them hard with a powerhead but seems like it doesnt work so well

They don't move as easily as the bta's, they can take a ton of flow before it really ****es them off.

I have not had the need to remove mine much and when I did move a couple it was when they were puffed up and on the move already.

You can try a bag of ice at an easily accessible corner, rub the foot gently with it until it gets irritated and starts to release at that point. Then you can gently try working around the anemone and slowly making it release with the ice, there is not a sure fire fast way I know for them and foot dmg to a ritteri is very potentially fatal.

Can I just blackout it with the rock for 7 days? the rock it's on badly infested with dino. So i wanna remove it and brush clean the rock

if blackout won't badly bleach the ritteri, i can quarantine the rock and the ritteri together

Ooooooh, I wouldn't do that. I've never kept a mag, but I know I'd be scared to try a prolonged blackout with my BTAs. I'd just be worried about the anemone going into a decline. I feel your pain with the dinoflagellates before, though--hateful things!

I put the rock he is on to the bottom of the tank, low light and low current next to the wall. As he is about to climb the wall, when his foot still inflate, I remove him. It also really easy to remove aneone on glass, just take a little patient and a credit card. I also situate it near a smaller rock (or a coffee mug) with better condition for him, once he climb on the small rock (or mug) I take the rock or mug to where ever I want him to go.

what i come across looks more like what corolix cyano or what cyano

i checked an algae atlas. it says the difference is the c cyano has feather feature while dino doesnt

Minh's advice is very good, I didn't realize you could move the rock, Magnificas will almost always climb to the highest point, unless they are completly happy at a lower point with flow/lighting/food.

Also you can do a black out period but I do not know If I would do 7 days. I have done a 3 day blackout with my BTA's and one magnifica in the tank with few problesm (one bta moved)
