remove zoa's from frag disks

I was just curious, when you get a frag of zoas that is attached to a frag disk. Do you remove the frag from the disk and glue that on your live rock or do you just glue the disk onto the live rock? I was just curious as how people do it usually.

I break off the stem of the plug then glue to rock.

zoanthids are attached to the rock or disc my a purple mat. All that I do is take a butterknife and lift the mat enough to where you can peel the zoanthids off of the disc and you can either rubberband them, or glue them to a piece of LR. If you go the glue route superglue GEL has worked the best for me in the past.

Ditto, just place the disk/plug where you want it and the zoo's will spread over the plug and adhere to your live rock eventually!

Yea, I just place the disk where I want it and glue it in place. Once they spread out enough, I remove the disk and start over!

If you want to get real creative, and you dont have many holes that would fit the disk good, you can take the pieces of LR out and drill them before hand for a perfect fit.
