Removing frag from plug

I got a smoking deal on these three frags two weeks ago. Didn't realize how big the base was that the frags were attached to until I got them in my nano. They have already started to encrust the rock pretty well. Any way to get them off without losing much of the base. They have been setting on the sand and I want them on the rocks. Or would it be best for me to just live with the huge rocks epoxied to the LR. Second photo gives a better reference as for the size.

I would just try to snap them off. They dont look to encrusted. The worst thing that can happin is you have one bigger frag and one smaller.

I agree, I think you should be able to cleanly remove them without any damage. I use my BRS bone cutters at the base of the frag, they should pop off easily.

Saying that, even if you left them where they are the coraline will cover the rocks shortly and will blend in nicely...and you don' have to do/sweat anything.

Looks like I will be popping them off Sunday. It is just really hard to mount those plugs in such a small tank. Thanks guys.
