Removing large soft coral from tank.. What's the impact?

I have a large leather in my tank that is taking up way to much room. What is going to be the impact of removing such a large leather at once? The tank is a 58 gallon and the coral is easily 14" x 6".

Please excuse the dirty class. My scrapper broke

nope none.... unless you mean cutting up the coral in the tank...

Thanks. I'm worried about nutrient absorption, etc. that I'll lose pulling it. Maybe it's negligible.. cal, alc. Is easy enough to adjust.
