Removing large SPS colonies from rockwork?

Hi all, I need to remove a large colony from my rockwork, with about a 1.5" diameter base. This is way too large for my largest fragging snips. Is there some kind of saw I can use underwater to remove it? Taking out the rock is not a possibility. Thanks.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I remember seeing a handle that holds a hacksaw blade at Home Depot the other day. I'll pick up one of those and give it a shot.

Often times you can find a spot to wedge a flat head screw driver in at the base and pop it off. Not always obviously, but worth looking at.

I've actually used a sawsall blade. A pretty coarse metal cutting blade. They make these cool screwdriver handle thingys that you can insert a sawall blade into. It is a workout but it works great. I've cut through 2" Tonga branches this way.

There are several out there, looks like this-

I got a similar saw handle at Lowes, and it worked great with a 10" hacksaw blade under water.
