Removing mantis

I know if I searched and combed through all the posts I could find various answers about how to catch a mantis. I just don't feel like doing that. Plus no one ever follwos up with what methods are actually successful. So if someone could help me and tell me a method that they have personally had success with, that'd be great!

I'm trying to avoid removing the rock it resides in since it's on the bottom of a pile.
