Removing tape residue from inside tank?

Hey all, apologize if this is in the wrong Forum, firstly.

That being said, I was given a tank tonight (A lidless 12G Nanocube) that I intend to use for one of my mantis shrimp (A P. cilata, a non-smasher, so no worries regarding the glass walls...).

However, there seems to have been some tape stuck inside, probably to secure the plastic wrapping that covered the whole tank(?).
What does one do to remove this in a safe manner, or is it really even a problem? I started to scrape it off with my fingernail, but it sort of rolls around and doesn't really lift off.

Any help appreciated.

Hey Ron If you soak it, it should become real easy to remove. I'm pretty sure that if you fill the tank up and give it a day or two it should be easily removed. I wouldn't wory about the stickup, i have had pieces of celophane tape get into numerous tanks.

Zippo lighter fluid is my remover of choice anywhere else.
